About the role

These are newly created roles within Gentoo to help us deliver our ambitious planned investment plan. Over the coming years we are investing over £40 million pounds annually in our existing assets. This role will play a key part in ensuring this investment is completed to the desired quality and improves our customer’s lives.

The purpose of this role is to work as a key part of our Asset Delivery team to lead and oversee our planned investment work to Gentoo’s existing assets.

This role involves undertaking work in progress and post inspections of planned investment works. You will work alongside our Customer Liaison Officers (Linda and Beth) to help ensure works are completed to the correct standards and achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

You will need to possess good time management skills and be comfortable in challenging Principal Contractors with regards to the quality of their work.

This role involves a high level of interaction across the group, working to contract manage a range of large scale contracts which are delivered via external partnering contractors and ensuring that we communicate effectively with our customers, contractors and colleagues within Housing Operations.

Reporting into our Project Managers (Chris and Steve) you will be responsible for ensuring that our planned improvement schemes meet the desired quality and that our customers have a positive experience when they have planned improvement works completed to their homes.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an ambitious, dynamic individual who is solution focused to work within our Asset Delivery team. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative to oversee, manage and sign off planned improvement works.

You will be experienced in delivering planned investment works, participating in contractor meetings, decision making, ensuing KPI’s are achieved and working as part of a team. You will be a motivated individual working within a team of asset professionals who have responsibility to deliver over £40 million pounds worth of planned investment work to Gentoo’s existing housing stock.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and will possess experience in overseeing planned investment work to domestic housing stock to include the replacement of Kitchens, Bathrooms, Roofs, Cyclical Decoration and FRA Works.
