Paralegal Apprentice

Salary: Year 1 - £ 12,500 / Year 2 - £15,500

Location: Sunderland

Contract Type: Fixed Term

Additional: 2 Year Fixed Term Apprenticeship Full Time - 36 Hours per week

About the role

Main Duties:

• To complete the apprenticeship training programme
• To contribute (under supervision) to the full range of tasks dealt with by the legal team, including:
- Assisting with a range of legal transactions
- Providing updates of information to relevant parties as required
- Preparing and processing correspondence and documents using the department’s case management system
- Undertake legal research and present the findings accurately and clearly
- Carrying out a range of administrative support functions
• To attend in-house training and college as and when required.
• To develop good working relationships with colleagues and support them when required.

Experience, Qualifications or Training

• Must have a minimum of 3 A Level passes (Grade C or above) or equivalent and 5 GCSE passes (Grade4/C or above) including Maths & English
• Ability to work in an office environment
• Good level of IT literacy
• Must be able to meet the travel requirements for the post
